10th Global Process Development Technical Exchange Meeting

Heesung Catalysts participated in the 10th Global Process Development Technical Exchange Meeting (10th GPD-TEM), held from June 2 to 4 near Tokyo, Japan. During the meeting, Heesung Catalysts shared process development technologies and manufacturing know-how with NECC and the global RD&A teams of BASF ECMS.

The event was hosted by Japan’s N.E. CHEMCAT (NECC) and brought together more than 20 global process development experts from Heesung Catalysts (HCC), BASF ECMS RD&A teams in Germany, the United States, and China, and other participating organizations.

Sharing Process Development Technologies and Manufacturing Know-how

The technical exchange meeting focused on catalyst technologies for automotive emission control, providing a platform for participants to share process improvement cases and manufacturing know-how accumulated at production sites.

Participants discussed key topics directly linked to manufacturing competitiveness, including process and production trouble shooting, technology transfer, process simplification, raw material development, and process innovation.

Heesung Catalysts introduced its process improvement cases and productivity enhancement experience accumulated through actual production operations, demonstrating its presence as a technology partner with strong manufacturing capabilities and process innovation expertise within the global process development network.

Expanding Field-based Technical Understanding

Alongside the technical seminars, participants visited the NECC Tsukuba Plant to observe actual production operations and exchange insights on process technology applications and operating practices.

Participants also took part in team-building activities, including a visit to Naritasan Shinshoji Temple, a historic temple with a 1,000-year legacy, as well as a Japanese tea ceremony experience and a traditional Japanese dinner. These activities helped deepen mutual understanding and strengthen relationships among experts from different countries.

Advancing Process Innovation through Global Collaboration

The meeting highlighted Heesung Catalysts’ active engagement within the global process development network for automotive emission control catalysts.
