2025 HMC R&D Executives – Heesung Catalysts Corp. Technical Exchange Meeting: Sharing New Technology Developments and Future Collaboration Plans

On August 26, 2025, Heesung Catalysts Corp. held a technical exchange meeting with the executives of Hyundai Motor Company’s R&D Division at the company’s research center in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province.
The meeting was convened to review the current status of mass-production and advanced catalyst technologies jointly developed by Hyundai Motor Company and Heesung Catalysts Corp., and to discuss closer collaboration for the future. A total of 32 participants attended, including Hyundai Motor Company President Heui Won Yang, Executive Vice President Donghee Han, Heesung Catalysts Corp. CEO Dr. Hyunsik Han, as well as executives and research leaders from both companies.

Presentations and Technology Showcases
Following a corporate introduction, Heesung Catalysts Corp. presented the progress of its key catalyst technology development projects conducted in partnership with Hyundai Motor Company. These included commercialized and upcoming technologies such as automotive emission-control catalysts for future regulatory compliance, hydrogen fuel cell catalysts, and early-stage R&D projects addressing next-generation mobility solutions.
In addition, a variety of new technologies were showcased on site, drawing strong interest from attendees. The exhibits included emission-control catalysts for automobiles, catalysts for hydrogen production, transport, and storage, electrode catalysts for fuel cells and water electrolysis, climate and environmental catalysts for greenhouse gas reduction, and next-generation energy materials such as solid electrolytes for advanced secondary batteries—providing participants with a firsthand look at Heesung Catalysts Corp.’s technical capabilities.
